By taking the pledge, I choose not to smoke in my vehicle and/or home and do not allow others to do so.

• Smoking in confined spaces like the vehicle or home increases the intensity of secondhand smoke exposure.
• Children are especially vulnerable to the health effects of secondhand smoke.
• Opening a window or vents does not protect anyone from the danger of secondhand smoke.

By committing to a smoke-free vehicle and/or home, I am:

• Reducing children's risk of developing asthma.
• Reducing the likelihood of ear infections or respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
• Protecting the value of my vehicle and/or home by eliminating smoke damage.
• Maintaining a healthy environment for my family and friends to enjoy!
