As a little girl, my grandpa would pick me up after school for piano lessons. I loved seeing him, but disliked that I had to ride in his smoky truck. I didn't like his habit, but he had smoked for many years and wasn't willing to quit, not even after being nagged by his daughters. Through colds and other illnesses, he finally gave it up after a scary stroke. It's sad it took a life or death situation to get him to quit, but I'm so thankful he is here today. Now I work to educate others about the dangers of tobacco, so that they too don't wait until a life or death situation to kick tobacco out of their life!
