Sara Roberts's STORY

My husband and I decided to quit in 2009. We picked June 24 as the day. We both wore patches, and he chewed the gum. Unfortunately, one month after we quit, my father-in-law was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer (had been a smoker). I am happy to say that my husband and I are still smoke free(20months!). I am sad to say that we lost my father-in-law just 5 months after the diagnosis. But, his battle is a reminder of why I will never pick up another cigarette.
